Children Dreams

Children dreams

Children do have dreams in their sleep. When kids share their dreams with you, you should listen. They are telling you a part of their life and it is important to pay attention to them. Sometimes the dreams that they are having have special meanings and it is important to try to understand them.

Children will sometimes have dreams that are coming from their real life. There are situations that cause children to have dreams like being bullied, fear, rejection, grief, or a reflection to a divorce or problem at home. When you child is telling you about their dream, you should try to figure out why they are dealing with this type of dream and how often it is happening.

Usually every dream is original for the child. Telling the dreams that they are having to someone is a way for them to express their creativity and even their imagination. Dream sharing is going to enhance parent and child emotional communications. This is a great way for the parent to feel like they are connected to their child and what is going on in their life. Nightmares are going to be an alert for a parent. Sometimes the bad dreams that the child is having will not be anything to worry about and for some, they are a problem that needs to be addressed.

The most common dream for a child to have is being attacked or confronted with an animal or monster. It makes no difference what the animal or monster looks like, all they know is that it is scary! Maybe the child has been chased by an animal like a dog or bitten by a cat. This will give them the incentive to have this type of dream and they may be fighting some kind of anxiety.

A good way to get a better understanding of what is happening from the child's dream patterns is to connect them to the life events that the child is going through. Make sure that there are no problems at school or with another child. You will want to make sure that the child is not going through some kind of anxiety or problem that they are too afraid to share with you.

Most of the time, the dreams are harmless, but there are times that you do need to try to figure them out. You want to make it clear to your child that you are there to listen and that you want to hear about their adventures that they are having in their sleep.
