Sleep apnea is a condition that will cause the inability to breath while you are sleeping. Sleep apnea is a problem that can cause additional stress and problems with your body if you are not careful and pay attention to the signs that are happening. Sleep apnea can strike anyone at any time. sleep apnea is a problem for those who are children, through their teens, into adulthood and even for the elderly. When the conditions and symptoms are ignored, it is going to cause loss of sleep and additional stress on your heart, lungs, and even your legs.

Obstructive sleep apnea can occur in children, men and women, those of all ages. Men are about eight times more likely to be suffering from sleep apnea. Many people believe that people in their twenties, and women are less likely to report sleep problems, which could contribute to findings that men are more likely to have sleep apnea or obstructed airway problems.

Sleep apnea is going to cause you to be drowsy during the day. You feel as if you would easily fall asleep during regular daylight hours. This could be on the phone or even while driving, even if you have been sleeping for eight to ten hours a night. If someone sleeps in the same room with you and they tell you that you have been gasping for air, that you sound as if you are choking or if you are snoring loudly all the time, these are signs of sleep apnea. Body movements during the night are attributed to sleep apnea. If you are not a person who is able to sleep in one position, but that you move about many times at night, these are signs of sleep apnea as well.
